Elbit Systems designs and develops our Overhead Remote Controlled Weapon Systems (ORCWS) to keep land forces prepared for evolving battlefield combat scenarios. For decades, Elbit Systems has repeatedly proven our ability to develop and deliver increasingly advanced system solutions that improve accuracy, enhance firepower, extend operational capabilities and boost safety.

Our ORCWS systems are based on in-house cutting edge technologies.  These systems are incorporated into Main Battle Tanks all over the world including Merkava Tanks, AFVs and other platforms which feature computer-controlled action, greater maneuverability and mobility. Moreover, with military planners worldwide calling for substantial cost-cutting measures, our systems conform to global demands for less manpower and higher firepower.

Our ORCWS family includes the "UT-30" and "UT-25" -  25 and 30 mm Unmanned Turrets as well as  the "ORCWS 7.62" – 7.62 Remote Controlled Weapon Station. These Weapon Systems represent an effective response to accurate shooting on the move with no exposure to enemy fire. Their unique design is based on extensive battlefield experience both in full-scale and low-intensity conflicts and attests to the Elbit Systems Group’s leadership in the field of Turret and Fire Control systems.
